Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant who will report to the Plant Manager and who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Plant Manager and Leadership Team. In this role, you will help drive efficient site operations by managing front desk activities, facility security administration, employee engagement initiatives, and administrative processes that support the Spruce Pine facility.

You'll Have The Opportunity To:
  • Provide administrative support to the Plant Manager and Leadership Team through correspondence, document preparation, data entry, and special project coordination.
  • Manage front desk and reception activities, including greeting visitors, answering inquiries, routing communications, and coordinating facility access.
  • Monitor facility security systems, administer badge and key fob access, maintain security records, and communicate with visitors regarding access requirements.
  • Coordinate employee engagement programs, company events, employee store operations, attendance tracking, and internal communications.
  • Assist with talent management activities, including candidate tours, pre-screening support, onboarding documentation, training coordination, and certification database maintenance.
  • Maintain administrative supplies, breakroom inventory, office resources, and copier functionality to support daily operations.
  • Support employee onboarding and training activities in partnership with Human Resources and EHSS teams.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of directories, databases, records, and administrative documentation.

Competencies:

Required:
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Experience:

    One to two years of related administrative, office support, receptionist, or customer service experience.
  • Technical

    Qualifications:

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email systems, database software, spreadsheet software, internet applications, and word processing software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, visitors, customers, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, and operational instructions.
  • Customer-focused approach with proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to learn and utilize security badge management systems and facility access software.
  • Operations Team:
    Required to work onsite full-time at the Spruce Pine, North Carolina facility.
Preferred:
  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or plant leadership teams.
  • Experience coordinating employee programs, events, or engagement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with onboarding processes, training administration, or HR support activities.
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
