Inventory Associate

As an Inventory Associate in Car Max's Automotive Inventory Management department, you'll help keep our vehicle stock accurate, organized, and ready for customers. You'll receive and inspect vehicles, verify VINs, perform counts, and update our inventory systems using handheld scanners and computer tools. Working closely with sales and service teams, you'll locate and stage vehicles, research discrepancies, and support regular audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle and parts counts to maintain accurate inventory records
• Use handheld scanners and inventory software to log, track, and reconcile stock
• Inspect vehicles on arrival and departure, verifying VINs and documentation
• Coordinate with sales and service teams to locate, stage, and update vehicle status
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and report variances to leadership
• Maintain an organized, safe lot and stock areas in line with Car
• Max standards
• Support periodic cycle counts and audits to ensure data accuracy
• Follow all safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures on the lot and in inventory areas
