The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and strategic direction for Person County’s economic development efforts. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive economic development program that supports business growth, job creation, and community investment. This position oversees the operations of the Economic Development Department and serves as the staff liaison to the Economic Development Commission, an advisory body appointed by the Board of Commissioners.

This job works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
