Job Title:
Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in supporting partner mission hospitals and clinics worldwide. This role assists medical professionals on short‑term service assignments by coordinating volunteers, facilitating communication, and ensuring logistical and financial processes run smoothly.
Responsibilities- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and serve as an effective witness.
- Provide information, oversight, and guidance to all volunteers through the entire logistical process.
- Act as a communication intermediary between volunteers and hospital/clinic staff.
- Serve as a public relations liaison between volunteers, travel agencies, and donors.
- Ensure volunteers understand donation and expense reimbursement procedures and collaborate with the Expense Coordinator to process these in an accurate and timely manner.
- Manage a wide variety of logistical issues, including emergencies, and offer solutions.
- Keep accurate and detailed volunteer account records.
- Assist in training new coordinators and updating procedure manuals.
- Coordinate with other coordinators to update and restructure orientation materials.
- Participate in conferences, meetings, and prepare reports and presentations as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- General knowledge of international affairs, foreign policy, and political frameworks.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and the public.
- Basic arithmetic skills using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.

Travel RequirementOccasional domestic and international travel, approximately 15 days per year.
