Join Our Payer Relations Team

As a Payer Relations Administrative Coordinator
, you will play a key role in supporting payer contracting activities and payer relations initiatives across the organization. This position provides administrative coordination, project oversight, communication support, and workflow management to ensure payer-related activities align with organizational, operational, and strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external payer partners.

A Day in the Life of a Payer Relations Administrative Coordinator
  • Coordinate and facilitate administrative activities within the Payer Relations department, including CRM management, payer databases, communications, and departmental documentation.
  • Organize department meetings and support collaboration by coordinating discussions around team goals, projects, company updates, problem-solving, and departmental initiatives.
  • Monitor workflows and departmental projects to ensure effective task delegation, balanced workloads, project accountability, and timely completion of objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and payer organizations to help resolve contracting and claims processing issues.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly reports related to payer contracts and payer relations activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations, and commercial payer requirements to support compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Support team development efforts through workflow coordination, employee check-ins, training support, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource for payer-related questions and provide support during departmental staffing shortages or escalations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, healthcare payers, and business partners while representing Prism in a professional manner.
  • Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.
Required Education and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • General knowledge of healthcare operations and medical business practices
  • Knowledge of commercial and government insurance programs and regulations
