THE JOB AT A GLANCE
This Pricing Analyst will form part of a team that is responsible for the overall risk rating for Employee Benefit Risk schemes; both new and renewal business, across South Africa. The ideal incumbent should have a thorough understanding of Group Risk business for different products in for South Africa with specific knowledge of the Retirement fund industry. This includes understanding of Systems, Processes and Procedures.
This individual will serve as a liaison with all internal and external stakeholders as defined per risk specialist. Holistic overview of Employee Benefit Risk Business with specific emphasis on sales, quotes and operations. The overall purpose of the role is to ensure business growth and client retention while ensuring profit expectations are achieved. This requires continued engagement with relevant stakeholders and a good understanding of the market space we operate within.

You Will Do
- Overseeing the production of new quotes for all benefits
- Pricing and benefit design of large/complex new business opportunities
- Ensure delivery of new business quotations and pricing for renewal business is appropriately concluded
- Ongoing Development of Pricing processes
- Supporting the business development teams to grow the portfolio
- Management of existing risk book through re-rating of existing schemes
- Vulnerable schemes management (existing business)
- Negotiation with clients, reinsurers, brokers, sales team on all aspects linked to the Group Risk Business
- Attend meetings with various stakeholders as required
- Ensure effective communication between all stakeholders with a view to building and maintaining good stakeholder relationships
- Ensure accurate and timeous provision of information
- Implementation of strategic projects and business acquisitions
- Resolve escalated technical queries and complaints
- Quality control of output
- Responsible for ongoing technical development and ongoing maintenance of the quotation system in line with IT strategy including reinsurance treaty changes.

Job RequirementsWhat You’ll Bring To The Table
- Matric Certificate/Grade 12 qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level
7) in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline - Minimum of 5 years Group Risk retirement fund benefit experience – specifically involved in Quoting and Pricing activity
- Strong understanding of the group risk industry
- Strong Technical acumen skills
- Strong Customer Relationship Management skills
- Knowledge of group risk products skills.
