We're looking for a Purchasing & Estimating Coordinator who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career in construction operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, Production Coordinator, Purchasing Assistant, or similar role who wants to take on greater responsibility and develop into a leadership position.
You’ll work closely with our leadership team, learning the estimating and purchasing side of the business, with a clear path to advance into a Purchasing & Estimating Manager role within 1-2 years for the right person.
What You’ll DoAs the Purchasing & Estimating Coordinator, you’ll support the planning and procurement process that keeps our projects running smoothly.
- Assisting with estimating custom homes, renovations, and light commercial projects
- Performing material takeoffs from plans and specifications
- Creating and issuing purchase orders
- Coordinating material orders and tracking deliveries
- Communicating with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing
- Supporting budget updates and cost tracking
- Helping maintain scopes of work and vendor documentation
- Coordinating site visits with vendors and trade partners
- Working with project managers and field staff to ensure materials and information are available when needed
- Maintaining accurate records and project documentation
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and helping projects succeed behind the scenes.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of experience in U.S. residential or light commercial construction purchasing, estimating, project coordination, or related construction operations
- Working knowledge of construction terminology, materials, trades, and building practices
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and other construction software tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and follow-through
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to project sites, vendor locations, and meetings
- Experience performing takeoffs or assisting with estimating
- Experience creating purchase orders or coordinating material procurement
- Familiarity with Job Tread, Buildertrend, or similar construction management software
Salary: $60,000-$70,000 depending on experience
