The Wilmington, NC Division is seeking an experienced Construction and Demolition Superintendent to join its expanding team. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all on-site construction and demolition activities, acting as the primary field contact for the project team.
- Plan, schedule, and direct daily construction operations to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Ensure all work meets contractual requirements, specifications, and quality standards; proactively identify and address scope changes.
- Monitor and enforce safety and environmental standards, fostering a culture of safety on the jobsite.
- Facilitate weekly progress meetings with the design team, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date jobsite documentation, including daily reports, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and inspection records.
- Manage self-performed activities to ensure adherence to project budget, production goals, and schedule.
- Coordinate required inspections with local authorities and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Oversee punch list development, completion, and project closeout activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite at all times.
- Regular overnight travel required
- OSHA 30 and CPR Certifications required.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Project Superintendent with a mid- to large-size commercial general contractor.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency with construction management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Physical ability to navigate job sites and perform various tasks as required.
