- Operate bulldozers (Cat D6, D8, or similar) for site clearing, earthmoving, and grading
- Utilize GPS/grade control systems to maintain accurate cut/fill elevations
- Read and interpret digital site models, plans, and grade stakes
- Perform daily equipment inspections (pre- and post-shift)
- Coordinate with foremen and surveyors to ensure grade accuracy
- Maintain smooth surfaces and proper drainage patterns
- Assist with site cleanup and general labor tasks as needed
- Report equipment issues promptly
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards - Maintain production efficiency and minimize rework
- 3+ years experience operating a dozer in heavy civil or site development
- Experience with GPS machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica, etc.)
- Ability to read grade stakes and construction plans
- Understanding of earthmoving and grading principles
- Knowledge of jobsite safety practices and OSHA standards
- Experience on roadway, DOT, or infrastructure projects
- Experience with finish grading using GPS systems
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- CDL (if required)
- Ability to sit and operate equipment for extended periods
- Ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment safely
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when needed
