Responsibilities- Assist with shop drawings, submittals, scheduling of subcontractors and materials, meetings, as‑built drawings, job cost, procurement, and field operations.
- Track quantities daily and reconcile them each month for payment purposes.
- Support quality personnel and the project team.
- Review foremen’s reports daily to ensure all information is properly recorded before any income, cost, or inventory entry.
- Document time and material operations on a capture sheet and reconcile with the client daily.
- Produce and manage project submittals, shop drawings, and material certifications to ensure approval prior to work start.
- Participate in the buyout process, write requisitions, and communicate required information to the project team.
- Produce complete purchase orders after conditions are approved by the Project Manager.
- Know subcontractor operational details and hold subcontractors accountable to agreements; attend coordination meetings to update schedules, drawings, and specifications.
- Establish excellent working relationships with clients, their representatives, and field inspectors.
- Actively participate in developing the Four‑Week Look‑Ahead schedules with superintendents using basic logic to incorporate resources, submittals, approvals, lead times, restraints, and milestones.
- Participate in relevant daily huddles to ensure projects are expeditiously and profitably constructed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 1+ year of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Heavy civil construction experience required.
- Experience with structures or site civil excavation preferred.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and people skills a must.
- Solid time‑management system and excellent organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, P6, HCSS, and ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of estimating, engineering, cost tracking systems, and site surveying a plus.
