Do you want to use your skills in construction to help rebuild communities impacted by natural disasters? Samaritans Purse is seeking a Construction Worker to join our Rebuild team in Western North Carolina
. As a member of our team, you will work alongside other passionate individuals to construct and repair homes in affected areas, lead volunteers, and ensure the highest quality of work. Language Requirement: Spanish preferred but not required.

You will be working at one of the following Rebuild sites in Western North Carolina:

• Watauga County (Boone, NC)
• Buncombe County (Asheville, NC)
• Yancey County (Burnsville, NC)

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
• Work jointly with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foremen, and Logistics Coordinators to construct and/or repair both stick-built homes and manufactured homes in the affected area.
• Lead and work with volunteers.
• Set up mobile homes as part of the manufactured home replacement program.
• Cooperate with other construction workers and hired subcontractors when needed.
• Ensure the quality of each project is maintained to the highest possible standard.
• Provide safety training and general project training for team members at the job site and assure all work is done according to safety standards.
• Maintain security of all materials and equipment at job sites.
• Ensure quality and adherence to Samaritans Purse policies from hired subcontractors.
• Inspect all jobs, ensuring work is performed per federal, state, and local laws and codes.
• Communicate and minister to homeowners and partners, keeping them informed of the team's work and projected needs.
• Hold a one-year certificate from a college or technical school and have three (3) to six (6) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have a driver's medical card (required).
• Possess trade certifications (electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, and finish carpentry) (preferred).
• Hold a Class A Commercial Driver's License (preferred).
• Have thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of residential home construction, from layout and foundation work to final inspection.

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school and three (3) to six (6) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Driver's medical card (required).
• Trade certifications (electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, and finish carpentry) (preferred).
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of residential home construction.
