Summary:
We are seeking a Project Controls Coordinator III (Field Cost Analyst) to support the Project Controls and Project Management teams by providing cost analysis, schedule tracking, forecasting, and construction reporting for utility capital projects. This role is responsible for monitoring project performance, maintaining project cost data, supporting earned value management activities, and ensuring accurate project forecasting.
The ideal candidate will have experience with project controls, cost management, Primavera P6 schedules, and advanced Excel skills, along with the ability to work in both office and field environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the daily LEMS process and ensure project data accuracy.
- Maintain and update cost information within the Eco Sys cost management system.
- Validate schedule percentage complete, actual dates, and forecast start/finish dates with contractors on a weekly basis.
- Analyze project costs and maintain the Estimate at Completion (EAC) and project forecasts.
- Support project change management processes, including scope and cost changes.
- Provide accurate and timely cost and schedule information to the assigned Project Controls Analyst and Project Management team.
- Prepare and issue weekly construction progress reports and performance metrics.
- Monitor project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Coordinate with field personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure accurate project reporting.
- Participate in periodic site visits and field activities as required.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in project controls, cost analysis, project coordination, or construction project support.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 (P6 Scheduling Software).
- Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced project environment.
- Experience with Eco Sys or other project cost management systems.
- Experience supporting utility, energy, construction, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of project forecasting, cost tracking, and change management processes.
- Hybrid work schedule with occasional travel to project sites.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Driver's abstract is required due to site travel and field work responsibilities.
Ability to perform periodic field visits and interact with construction teams and contractors
