Site Manager
The HV Construction Site Manager serves as PGS’s (Power Generation Solutions) constant onsite presence throughout construction and turnover of assigned high-voltage projects. This role coordinates daily site activity, monitors schedule progress, verifies that work is being performed safely and in accordance with project expectations, and supports communication among PGS teams, subcontractors, customers, inspectors, delivery drivers, procurement, and other onsite parties. The Site Manager is responsible for identifying field constraints, documenting site activity, escalating issues promptly, and helping maintain alignment between planned work, actual site conditions, safety requirements, and project milestones.
This role is primarily field-based on active construction sites with travel required.

- Serve as the primary PGS onsite representative during construction and turnover activities.
- Maintain daily awareness of planned and active work being performed by PGS personnel, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and other onsite parties.
- Coordinate site access, deliveries, inspections, laydown needs, work sequencing, and daily logistics to support safe and efficient execution.
- Interface with onsite leaders, subcontractors, customer representatives, procurement, delivery drivers, inspectors, vendors, and project management as needed.
- Monitor daily site progress against project schedules, look-ahead plans, work plans, delivery schedules, inspection requirements, and milestone dates.
- Identify schedule risks, resource conflicts, access limitations, material shortages, design questions, quality concerns, weather impacts, or other constraints that may affect execution.
- Communicate progress, delays, issues, and required decisions to project management in a timely and accurate manner.
- Observe site activities to help ensure work is being performed safely and in accordance with company requirements, customer site rules, project expectations, and applicable safety plans.
- Monitor general compliance with approved drawings, specifications, work plans, inspection requirements, and quality expectations.
- Promptly communicate unsafe conditions, nonconforming work, housekeeping concerns, environmental issues, or other site deficiencies to the appropriate responsible parties.
- Support a safe, organized, and professional jobsite environment without assuming direct responsibility for subcontractor means, methods, or craft supervision unless specifically assigned.
- Prepare accurate daily reports documenting work performed, manpower, equipment, deliveries, inspections, visitors, safety observations, delays, issues, and follow-up items.
- Provide clear field updates to project management regarding site progress, schedule status, upcoming work, constraints, safety concerns, quality issues, and coordination needs.
- Maintain effective communication between field personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, customers, procurement, logistics, vendors, and internal project stakeholders.
- Support project turnover, punch list coordination, site demobilization, and closeout activities.
- Escalate project risks, unresolved field issues, safety concerns, documentation gaps, or decisions requiring management direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, trade school, apprenticeship, or associate degree in electrical, utility, construction, civil, or related field preferred.
