Construction Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent who thrives in the field and possesses a strong ability to lead day-to-day construction activities on large-scale industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or data center projects. The selected individual will ensure that work is executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, oversee inspections, and drive project performance while collaborating closely with the Project Manager and client team.
Responsibilities- Lead all on-site construction operations and daily field activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, materials, equipment, and inspections.
- Manage project schedule execution, sequencing, and trade coordination.
- Enforce safety programs and ensure compliance with company and project requirements.
- Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
- Identify and resolve field issues while proactively mitigating project risks.
- Maintain site documentation, progress reporting, and communication with project stakeholders.
- Support project goals related to schedule, productivity, safety, and client satisfaction.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or data center construction, leading field operations on projects valued at $50M–$100M+.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
- Experience managing large subcontractor work forces and complex project logistics.
- Ability to work closely with project management, owners, and trade partners to drive successful project execution.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel extensively (70%+ travel).
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field experience preferred.
- Proficiency in using construction management software such as Procore.
- OSHA 30 certification.
The work environment is based at a project site in Hamlet, NC, requiring presence 5 days a week, with occasional Saturdays. The role demands extensive travel, over 70%, to various sites.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hamlet, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
