As aSenior Special Inspections Technician  forBLE, you willworkunderthe immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer.

Collaborating with construction site managers and engineers,you willbe responsible for leading a team of 10 to 15juniorSSI’sperforming inspections and sampling services crucial to quality assurance in construction projects.

Key responsibilitiesincludethecollection of concrete, soil, and site materials for testing,continuedmonitoringof general contractor activities, encompassing onsite testing,and reporting of earthwork, soil construction, foundation/subgrade evaluation, reinforced steel, concrete placements, masonry, and asphalt testing. You willbe responsible for writing and reviewing detailed daily reports, including testresults summaries of construction site observations.

Must have five(5) plus years ofSpecial Inspections Technicianexperienceand2yearsof  supervisory experience, OR more than 10 years’ experience in lieu of certificationsandexhibitsskillsappropriate forthis technician level.

High School Diploma or General Education (GED)

Valid Driver's License with Clean Motor Vehicle Driving history (3 years)

Ability to work outdoors on a construction site in all seasons and weather conditions for extended periods.

You mustbe self-motivatedandefficiently work independently while completing scheduled tasks.

Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with team members, BLE leadership, clients, local, state, and federal authorities of all levels.

Ability to attend to detail and work in atime-consciousandtime-effective manner.

Musthavethefollowingactive certifications:

ACI 1

ICC Soils Inspector

ICC Reinforced Concrete

ICC Masonry Special Inspector

Basic knowledge in the operation of smartphones and computers for communication and record keeping (MS Office applications Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, lift (50pounds), tug,and pull, on unstable, unpaved ground.
