Superintendent - Communications Infrastructure / DAS Pay:
$38-$45/hr (based on experience)
Schedule:5/6 10-hour shifts (anything over 40 hours is overtime)
About the OpportunityInsight Global is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead large-scale communications and technology infrastructure projects. This role will oversee field operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to customer requirements.
The ideal candidate has experience managing teams in low-voltage, structured cabling, fiber optic, wireless, or Distributed Antenna System (DAS) environments. This position will primarily support DAS deployments while overseeing associated communications infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day field operations across active project sites.
- Lead Foremen, Lead Technicians, Technicians, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
- Develop and execute project schedules, manpower plans, and production goals.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, customers, vendors, and site leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Monitor labor productivity, project costs, and schedule performance.
- Conduct field audits, safety meetings, and quality inspections.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project scope requirements.
- Coordinate material procurement and forecasting.
- Identify and resolve issues impacting schedule, quality, or customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular project status updates to leadership.
- Support project turnover, commissioning, and closeout activities.
- Oversee installation activities related to DAS systems, fiber optics, structured cabling, wireless infrastructure, and other low-voltage technologies.
- 6+ years of experience in communications, low-voltage, telecommunications, or construction environments.
- 3+ years leading field teams on large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, telecommunications, or data center projects.
- Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of DAS, structured cabling, fiber optics, and wireless infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
