This position is located at Western Correctional Center for Women in Black Mountain, North Carolina. The Dental Assistant reports to the Dentist assigned to the facility. This is skilled work in rendering technical assistance to dentists in the care of dental patients. This position provides primary clinical support for offender care by performing dental assisting duties in a variety of clinical settings, i.e., emergency care, general dentistry, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and radiology.

- Demonstrated knowledge of preparation methods and dental materials.
- Documented experience in maintaining dental records.
Salary Range: $35,770 - $53,564
Position will close at 11:59 PM the night before the End Date.
This is a full‑time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

Education / ExperienceCompletion of a dental assistant program from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of on‑the‑job training as a dental assistant and required x‑ray training when needed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
