Shift Details:
- 07:30am- 04:00pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
- Take and record patient medical and dental histories.
- Take dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations.
- Sterilize instruments and follow infection control procedures.
- Assist with suctioning, instrument passing, and dental materials.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Document patient care accurately in the dental record.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized treatment areas.
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, facility policies, and dental regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a Dental Assistant within the last 3 years.
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).
