Job Duties
This position is located in Bolivia, NC. The purpose of this position is to provide clinical support to the dentist, dental residents and dental students in the School of Dental Medicine clinics and Community Service Learning Centers.
- Assist with 4-handed dentistry, including patient preparation and flow.
- Access patient information and chart as directed by dental students, residents, and faculty dentists.
- Monitor patients' blood pressure and sedation as required.
- Participate in dental exams and procedures.
- Follow OSHA standards for hand washing, masking, gloving, and disposal of contaminants.
- Monitor patients while they are receiving treatment.
- Perform dental x-rays as ordered by the dentist and transport patients as needed.
The job is not subject to the State Human Resources Act. Minimum Education / ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalency and completion of an accredited dental assisting program; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Experience , Skills, Training / Education- CPR certification
