Position Overview:
We seek a skilled CAD drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will create shop drawings, CNC-ready production drawings, and submittal packages while coordinating closely with estimators, project managers, and production teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Experience with commercial millwork, cabinetry, and woodworking manufacturing processes is required.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret architectural construction documents to understand project requirements.
- Identify design conflicts, missing details, and construction issues and communicate those clearly during the drafting process.
- Gather relevant information necessary for commercial construction submittal processes, including material and hardware specifications.
- Model and draft casework and millwork based on architect drawings and project documents.
- Revise shop drawings by incorporating field dimensions and client feedback.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Mozaik to generate CNC files and cut lists for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain organized files and documentation for easy reference and retrieval.
Requirements to Succeed:
- Minimum of 3 years of CAD drafting experience in architectural and/or commercial millwork.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and construction documents.
- Strong experience in modeling and drafting using Mozaik and AutoCAD.
- Understanding and experience with CNC routers, CNC programming, and CNC tooling.
- Ability to work independently and develop project portions with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of typical and specialty hardware used in commercial millwork.
- Technical understanding of casework construction processes and materials.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications (DOE).
- Negotiable salary depending on previous experience in architecture, cabinetry, casework, millwork, construction, etc.

Job Type and
Schedule:
- Full-time position with an 8-hour shift.
- Monday to Friday work schedule.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in commercial millwork or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using Mozaik or similar CAD/CAM software.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using AutoCAD.
