Job Responsibilities:

Provide cardiology care across outpatient and inpatient settings Cover scheduled clinic time Monday to Friday, starting at approximately 2 hours per day, with potential expansion as needed On-call responsibilities, including beeper call with a 30-minute response time Rounding required in both inpatient and outpatient departments Read and interpret cardiology test results (EKGs, ECHOs, etc.) as part of daily duties Provide consults and admissions based on hospital census and clinic follow-up needs

Qualifications:

Board Certification in Cardiology required; fellowship preferred Active North Carolina medical license required (NC licensure only) ACLS certification required Ability to obtain temporary hospital privileges if necessary Minimum credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days Facility Details:
Hospital Beds: 86-bed facility with onsite hospitalists managing admissions and initial patient care Technology: EMR systems include McKesson and Athena Support Staff:
Dedicated RN and MA support provided onsite, along with two office staff for clinic support Specialty Skills Needed:
Outpatient and inpatient cardiology Echocardiography STEMI management (non-interventional) ICU experience preferred Reading diagnostic testing reports (e.g., EKGs) Call Details: 24-hour call coverage with beeper Call ratio of 100% with occasional call-backs Admissions of 0-2 per 24-hour period; phone consultations ranging from 0-10 calls per day Additional Information:
