About the Clinician's WorkdayThe position involves providing comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents on a 24-bed unit that can flex between pediatric and adolescent populations. Clinicians work 10-hour shifts in a mostly 7 on/7 off schedule, handling 1-3 admissions daily with the remainder consisting of follow-up care. The C&A psychiatrist on call manages all consults and evaluations for the day, while other physicians cover follow-up patients and unit management.
Call responsibilities include psychiatric consultations from Emergency Department admissions, with no callback requirements after leaving the facility.
