Location: Liberty

Nurses Etc. Staffing is looking for a full-time Rheumatologist MD/DO to join our team at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Liberty, North Carolina. This is a unique opportunity to work with active‑duty military and their beneficiaries.

Rheumatologist Requirements
  • Degree/

    Education:

    Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Certifications (in addition to Basic Life Support): Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements in AR 351-3 or as determined by the provider's State of licensure, whichever is more stringent. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), etc. certifications. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is the only program accepted for these certifications.
  • Experience: See below.
  • Board Certification: Board certified/board eligible in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
  • Licensure/Registration: Shall possess and maintain throughout the life of the contract a valid, unrestricted state license to practice medicine in one of the 50 states in the United States or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Additional licenses held by a provider must be in good standing whether they are inactive, expired, or limit the provider's practice to a military setting.

    The healthcare provider's license(s) must remain current, valid, and unrestricted throughout the duration of the contract.
  • DEA Registration: Must have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number (certificate) to prescribe controlled substances in accordance with the law of the state where services are provided.
Duties
  • Perform all procedures commonly performed by a Rheumatology provider.
  • Provide medical examination, care, and treatment to MTF patients.
  • Provide medical care and treatment of communicable diseases and/or injuries.
  • Conserve health of patients by application of diversified knowledge of preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic medical and surgical procedures.
  • Seek advice of consultants when appropriate.
  • Instruct and monitor other medical personnel in care and treatment of patients, including non‑therapeutic services such as physical examinations.
  • Initiate requests for tests, x‑rays, and admissions to the medical treatment facility, as appropriate.
  • Follow up on abnormal reports, including abnormal x‑ray and lab reports received on patients seen.

7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
