Statement of Primary Purpose
Assist in the instruction of students in the Welding, Facilities Maintenance, Culinary and Office Administration programs at the LBJ Job Corps Center.
ClassificationContinuing Education Part-time Instructor
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Ability to instruct and monitor students in the use of equipment related to welding, facilities maintenance, culinary, and office administration.
- Applicant must possess the stamina for outdoor work, be able to operate equipment related to the specific trades, and know proper use of safety equipment.
- Knowledge of various Microsoft Office software programs, ability to type, and general office administration knowledge is also required.
Education:
Associate of Applied Science Degree Preferred.
Knowledge and
Skills:
Previous teaching experience preferred.
Possess the stamina for outdoor work.
Working Conditions and EnvironmentJob Corps follows the federal holiday calendar. Schedule is M-F 8:00a-4:00p. Maximum of 25 hours per week.
Equipment OperationMowers, leaf blowers, construction equipment, hand tools, computer, calculator, and copier.
