Gardner-Webb University is seeking to fill the position of Admissions Recruiter. Please review the position summary and job requirements below for the role.
Position Summary
The Admissions Recruiter for the College of Education is responsible for recruiting, engaging, and enrolling prospective students into Online Undergraduate Education programs. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students from inquiry through enrollment and works collaboratively with enrollment leadership, marketing, faculty, and campus partners to support enrollment growth.
Primary Responsibilities
* Recruit, engage, and enroll prospective students for Online Undergraduate programs within the College of Education
* Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and applicants from initial inquiry through enrollment
* Collaborate with the VP of Enrollment, Assistant VP of Admissions, Director/Associate Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communication Strategies, and College of Education faculty to develop, implement, and assess recruitment strategies
* Communicate consistently and effectively with prospective students via phone, email, text messaging, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions
* Initiate, develop, and maintain partnerships with local school systems, community colleges, colleges, universities, and community organizations to support recruitment efforts
* Represent the University and College of Education at recruitment events, career fairs, professional conferences, and trade shows; occasional evening, weekend, and overnight travel may be required
* Maintain detailed knowledge of College of Education programs, including admissions requirements, curriculum structure, and delivery formats
* Track prospective student engagement and application progress using the university CRM system
* Verify applicant credentials and ensure application files are complete for review by admissions committees
* Monitor and evaluate monthly recruiting activity against established performance standards and enrollment goals
* Meet quantitative and qualitative goals related to inquiries, applications, admissions, and enrolled students
* Collaborate with Admissions, Financial Planning, Registrar Services, Marketing, and Student Success teams to ensure a smooth transition from applicant to enrolled student
* Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage multiple recruitment pipelines and priorities simultaneously
* Comfort with phone-based, virtual, and in-person recruiting
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an enrollment team
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required
* Experience in enrollment management, admissions, recruiting, sales, or a customer-facing role
* Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office technology
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in higher education enrollment or admissions
* Familiarity with online, graduate, or degree completion programs
* Experience using Slate or similar CRM systems
