Applicants must have a PhD in English or a Master's Degree in English or a related field that includes a minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in English. All degrees must come from accredited institutions. Strong consideration will be afforded to candidates who exhibit a demonstrated record of professional experience and success in undergraduate teaching. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a current cv, and a sample composition syllabus.

The Department of English, Theatre, and World Languages seeks adjunct faculty to teach courses in Composition I and Composition II.

These positions are suited for potential faculty who possess terminal degrees in English or have a minimum of 18 hours of approved graduate course work in closely-related fields. Excellence in teaching and learning conducted within a rigorous and stimulating environment is an important core value of the University of North Carolina L has a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and part-time faculty are expected to exhibit and maintain campus and departmental standards.
