Job Description - Summary

The HSE Test Administrator for College and Career Readiness is responsible for the secure and accurate administration of standardized assessments for adult learners. This position supports student success by ensuring testing is conducted in accordance with all state, vendor, and institutional policies and procedures. Assessments may include paper-based and computer-based formats. Must successfully complete required training and certifications for HiSET, Work Keys, and CASAS (full training provided or supported by the program).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and proctor standardized assessments, including HiSET (paper-based and computer-based),
    Work Keys
    , and CASAS
    , in accordance with established testing protocols
  • Maintain test security, confidentiality, and integrity at all times
  • Prepare testing rooms and materials, including check-in procedures, seating arrangements, and technology setup
  • Verify student identity and eligibility prior to testing
  • Monitor testing sessions to ensure compliance with testing rules and approved accommodations
  • Accurately document attendance, incidents, and testing outcomes as required
  • Enter, track, and report testing data using designated systems or platforms
  • Communicate testing policies, procedures, and expectations clearly to students
  • Maintain organized testing records in compliance with program and institutional requirements
  • Collaborate with CCR staff under the direction of the Director/Chief HSE Examiner to schedule testing sessions and support program needs
  • Participate in required training, certification, and recertification for all testing platforms

  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as budget preparation, frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
