Job DescriptionPro Sidian seeks a Senior PR/SERE High Risk Training Instructor (HRTI) for a 1099 contract, working on site at Camp Lejeune, NC 28542 and across the southeastern U.S./East Coast. Candidates will support professional services engagements for Defense and Security sector clients, specifically the United States Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC). This position may convert to a full-time Pro Sidian W‑2 role.
JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services and support as a Senior PR/SERE High Risk Training Instructor focusing on Human Capital solutions for US Marine Special Operations commanders. Deliver realistic high‑risk SERE and personnel recovery training to prepare forces for isolation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead full‑spectrum Level “C” (FSLC) SERE instruction and HRTI duties as a Senior Instructor‑rated professional with DoD instructor certification.
- Ensure at least 66% of instructor staff are qualified at or above Senior Instructor 16 CFTE, including higher qualifications.
- Coordinate training logistics, including schedules, training areas, and materials for all assigned events.
- Develop, update, review, and deliver POI techniques, tactics, and procedures for course material.
- Conduct field training exercises, resistance training laboratories, and academically oriented role‑play labs.
- Assess student performance, provide written and verbal feedback, and administer after‑action reports.
- Perform Range Safety Officer duties to support PR/SERE operations.
- Complete the MARFORSOC PR/SERE Course Unique Instructor Training (CUIT) and ITS upon hire.
- Assist new contractor, active‑duty, and DoD civilian personnel with onboarding and refresher training.
- Contribute to the development of new concepts and doctrines for MARFORSOC PR/SERE courses.
- Conduct technology assessments to stay current on training capabilities and SME development.
- Analyze course content and coaching effectiveness, recommending improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 12 months independent FSLC SERE instruction.
- Graduate of an approved DoD FSLC SERE course or equivalent (e.g., SERE 211/215/225).
- Minimum of 3 years of U.S. military service with honorable discharge.
- Must meet High Risk Training Instructor requirements as dictated by NAVMC Formal Schools Management Manual 1553.2.
- Certified as a PR/SERE instructor on the MARFORSOC SL‑13 level.
- Broad subject‑matter expertise in PR/SERE training, including Evasion, Resistance, Detention, and Recovery.
- Ability to develop and deliver advanced POI, field training, and resistance training exercises.
- Strong analytical and coaching skills, with experience in adult learning and simulation.
