Position Summary
The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus. This position is exempt from the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act (EHRA). This position has an appointment period of 12 months per year.
The Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life plays a critical role in fostering student success through leadership, engagement, and community development within the fraternity and sorority community. This position supports student learning, personal growth, and organizational accountability by advising councils, overseeing key programs, and tracking success metrics. The Assistant Director is a member of the Division of Student Affairs and works collaboratively across campus to enhance the student experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Development and Student Success
- Serve as the primary contact and support for Greek councils, facilitating leadership development and collaboration among chapters.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement engaging programs and recognize accountability through positive awards and acknowledgment.
- Provide case management for fraternity and sorority members, ensuring compliance with university policies and national guidelines focused on member well-being.
- Oversee social media interactions and maintain resources for chapter programming while participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
