The Department of Social Work invites applications for a 9‑month fixed‑term, 0.50 FTE position based on a primary location at the main campus in Cullowhee, NC. The role will support the Social Work Field Education Program, provide teaching in the undergraduate Social Work program, and contribute to departmental service.
Job Responsibilities- Support the Social Work Field Education Program
- Select and vet field placement sites, work with students to select sites, monitor sites, evaluate site quality, assess student performance, and problem‑solve issues arising at placement sites
- Provide service to the department through administrative and collaborative duties
- Teach undergraduate Social Work courses
Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in, and experience with, Social Work field education and a commitment to teaching, advising students, and engaging in social work practice.
Minimum QualificationsMSW from a CSWE‑accredited Social Work program and at least two years of post‑graduate experience.
Preferred QualificationsDoctorate in Social Work or a related field.
