Job Summary
The English, Communication and Media Studies department is seeking experienced adjunct instructors to teach first-year composition courses. We have available composition sections for Fall 2026. With recent increases in enrollment, we also anticipate hiring to fill additional part‑time openings in AY 27‑28.

- Prepare and teach in‑person first‑year composition courses on our beautiful campus in Greensboro, NC.
- Contribute to the Global Communication Center, providing students with professional consulting in media, writing, and speaking, and use its video and podcasting studios and media equipment.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and other teaching responsibilities as assigned.
- Master’s degree (or MFA) in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or Creative Writing from a regionally accredited institution.
- Documented completion of at least 18 graduate hours in English, composition, or creative writing.
- Preferably experienced instructors who have taught college composition.
