Union County Community Action, Inc. (UCCA) is seeking passionate early childhood educators to lead our classroom serving preschool‑aged children. The Teacher creates engaging learning environments that support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development while promoting school readiness and family engagement.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7am-3pm (40 hours/week)

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Support children’s academic, social, and emotional growth
• Assess and monitor children’s developmental progress
• Maintain classroom records and documentation
• Partner with families to support student success
• Ensure compliance with NC Pre‑K and licensing standards

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
• NC Pre‑K qualifications and licensure requirements required
• Experience working in preschool or Pre‑K settings preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.

Must be able to actively supervise preschool‑aged children, move throughout classroom and outdoor learning environments, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
