Assistant Professor Coordinator Ed.D. In Higher Education Executive Leadership
Wingate University's Thayer School of Education invites applications for a 12-month assistant professor who will serve as the coordinator of the newly redesigned Ed.D. in higher education executive leadership.
This role combines faculty teaching and scholarly engagement with year-round program leadership, including continuous program improvement, student advising, recruitment, and administrative oversight. The coordinator will work collaboratively with faculty, university leadership, and external partners to prepare practice-oriented leaders for executive roles in educational institutions. The successful candidate will have higher education leadership experience, a passion for developing future institutional leaders, and a commitment to innovation and student-centered education.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Teaching and curriculum development
- Program leadership and student support
- Administrative and operational duties
Required qualifications include:
- Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in educational leadership (higher education-focused), higher education, or a closely related field
- Experience working in or with senior leadership roles in higher education
- Demonstrated effectiveness in graduate-level teaching
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders with professionalism and attention to detail
