Position
Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal and CTE Director, develop, coordinate, and implement the Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum while empowering students to be successful citizens, workers, and leaders in a global economy. Programs focus on:
- Identify, organize, plan, and allocate resources – time, money, materials, facilities, and human resources.
- Work with a variety of technologies.
- Contribute to developing reading, writing, listening, speaking, and mathematical skills.
- Contribute to the development of thinking creatively, making decisions, solving problems, and reasoning.
- Help students with career planning and future employment success; emphasize the world of work, needed skills, and career preparation.
- Help students experience an orientation to self‑awareness and the world of work, emphasizing how interests, attitudes, values, learning styles, skills, and personality influence career choices.
- Based on the National Career Development Guidelines, reinforce communications, personal management, and teamwork skills.
CTE Restricted License(s):
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2.7 GPA (undergraduate coursework)
- Ability to produce an official, degree‑dated transcript from an accredited university
Required Credentials: Based on the degree held
Required Induction for the CTE Restricted route: NC DPI sponsored New Teacher Induction Program
