  • Deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate art lessons aligned with state standards and school goals.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate art into core academic content and support interdisciplinary learning.
  • Prepare, transport, and organize instructional materials and supplies needed for daily lessons.
  • Promote creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and artistic expression.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment within multiple classroom settings.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback on artistic development and participation.
  • Coordinate student artwork displays, school showcases, and other opportunities to celebrate student achievement.
  • Maintain inventory and care of art supplies, instructional materials, and mobile resources.
  • Attend required staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of elementary art education best practices and child development.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, organization, and time-management skills.

  • Valid North Carolina teaching license or ability to obtain licensure (Preferred)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move frequently throughout the school building and travel between classrooms during the instructional day.
  • Ability to lift, carry, transport, and set up art supplies, instructional materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to supervise and engage students in a variety of classroom environments.
