Extension Agent - ANR (Stokes County)

The Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) will support small-scale and limited-resource farmers by providing expert consultations, education, and hands-on training to enhance productivity and income. This role focuses on developing and delivering research-based programs that address key agricultural, economic, and environmental challenges in the community. Key Program Areas include commercial vegetable and fruit production, high tunnel crop production, beekeeping and pollination, harvesting, handling, and marketing fresh produce, agritourism and alternative crops, and home and community gardening.

The Extension Agent for ANR will provide hands-on, research-based training and conduct farm demonstrations on best management practices, innovative technologies, and sustainable agricultural methods. Additionally, this role will collaborate with local organizations to expand outreach efforts, assess program needs, and engage the community through advisory committees and direct participant feedback.
