Position: Lecturer/Athletic Trainer - 861
Location: Pembroke

Position Title

Lecturer/Athletic Trainer – 861

Primary Purpose

Teach undergraduate courses assigned by the Department of Kinesiology Chair and provide medical care for assigned athletic teams within the Department of Athletics.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses as assigned.
  • Provide daily medical care for assigned teams, including all activities, associated travel, nights and weekends.
  • Maintain appropriate electronic medical records.
  • Supervise graduate assistant athletic trainers.
  • Carry out administrative and other duties as assigned by the Dept. Chair or the Senior Associate Athletics Director.
Minimum Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in an appropriate discipline area.
  • Prior experience teaching in a higher education setting preferred.
  • BOC Certification and AED/CPR Certification.
  • Licensed or eligible for athletic training licensure in North Carolina by August 2026.
Employment & Compensation

Full‑time (1.0 FTE), 9 months per year. Exempt under FLSA. Recruitment and hiring ranges commensurate with education and experience.
