Job Purpose

We are seeking a passionate, student-centered High School Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will create an engaging learning environment that supports students’ intellectual, social, and emotional development in grades 9-12. This role requires strong classroom management skills, subject matter expertise, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications / Requirements

Job Description and Duties
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, providing effective teaching strategies.
  • Maintain effective classroom management, recognize and address learning and behavior issues, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Evaluate the accomplishments of students regularly using multiple assessment methods; provide progress and interim reports for feedback.
  • Communicate promptly with parents; maintain positive, constructive communication with students, staff, parents, and the community.
  • Protect students, materials, and facilities by taking necessary and reasonable precautions.
  • Uphold and enforce board policy, district goals, administrative procedures, and school rules and regulations.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies.
  • Maintain appropriate work habits, including regular and punctual attendance and appropriate use of conference and planning time.
  • Keep current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory; attend workshops, PLCs, department, curriculum development, and staff‑development sessions as required.
  • Respect the confidentiality of records and information regarding students, parents, and teachers in accordance with professional ethics and state and federal laws.
  • Share responsibility during the school day for the supervision of students in various areas of the school.
  • Perform non‑instructional duties as assigned.
