MUSIC TEACHER
Starting Date: Aug 14, 2026
Reports to: Principal
Position Type: Full‑Time
Job Function: Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons. Planning and implementing a program of instruction and lesson plans. Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences. Coordinating all aspects of teaching music to ensure optimal learning.
Responsibilities- Monitoring students’ learning progress
- Adapting the lessons to suit the students’ needs
- Providing direct and honest feedback at pupils’ request
- Charting the growth of pupils’ skills and capabilities until they have achieved mastery of the instrument
- Teaching pupils about the theory of music
- Instructing pupils in essential skills, such as reading sheet music
- Developing lessons to aid student learning activities
- All other duties as assigned by the principal
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a music-related field
- Ability to play the guitar or other musical instruments
- Ability to teach another person how to play the guitar
- Reliable interpersonal skills for one‑on‑one music lessons
- Deep understanding of music theory, music education, and general music
- Functional knowledge of sheet music composition
- Appropriate communication skills for elementary schools, high schools, or accredited colleges
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
