We are seeking a passionate, student-centered School Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will create an engaging learning environment that supports students’ intellectual, social, and emotional development in grades K‑5. This role requires strong classroom management skills, subject matter expertise, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
Responsibilities- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, providing effective teaching strategies.
- Maintain effective classroom management, recognize and address learning and behavior issues, differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Evaluate student accomplishments regularly using multiple assessment methods; provide progress and interim reports.
- Communicate with parents promptly; maintain positive, constructive communication with students, staff, parents, and community.
- Protect students, materials, and facilities by taking necessary precautions.
- Uphold and enforce board policy, district goals, administrative procedures, and school rules.
- Adhere to health and safety policies.
- Maintain appropriate work habits, including punctual attendance and use of planning time.
- Stay current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory; attend workshops and PLCs as required.
- Respect confidentiality of records.
- Share responsibility for supervision of students during school day.
- Perform non‑instructional duties as assigned.
- Lead in classroom and teaching profession; advocate for schools and students; demonstrate high ethical standards.
- Provide an inclusive, respectful environment for diverse student population; adapt teaching for special needs.
- Know content in line with North Carolina Standard Course of Study; align instruction; make instruction relevant.
- Facilitate learning: plan appropriate instruction, use variety of methods, integrate technology, develop critical thinking and teamwork.
- Reflect on practice; analyze learning; link growth to professional goals; function effectively in dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an approved education program in the subject area.
- Strong background in North Carolina Standard Course of Study and Essential Standards.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
- Require speaking, hearing, use of hands; repetitive motions; sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting; standard vision requirements.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
- Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Teaching license.
- Ability to perform essential functions proficiently (reasonable accommodations may be made).
