Description
Under the supervision of the Nursing Department Head, the instructor plans and implements educational activities to ensure that student learning outcomes are consistent with program learning outcomes and the mission of the College. The instructor participates in ongoing professional development and campus activities and fulfills committee and quality enhancement responsibilities. The instructor ensures continuous improvement of instruction by means of ongoing program assessment.
Examplesof Duties
Reporting directly to the nursing department head, the adjunct instructor will plan, organize, and teach clinical courses and labs in the nursing department as assigned to ensure that student learning outcomes are consistent with program learning outcomes and the mission of the college, maintains class attendance records and submits all reports in a timely manner; administers periodic learning assessments and provides timely feedback to students;
maintains office hours each week; prepares and revises syllabi; participates in on-going professional development opportunities; other duties as assigned by the science department head;
Be knowledgeable of NCBON rules and expectations.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Active RN license in good standing
- CPR Certification
- Must be able to supervise and perform clinical duties.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Two years minimum experience in clinical patient care;
Precepting or teaching experience within a clinical setting
