Job Title
To teach face to face Quick Books courses at the Surf City Center. These courses may be held at a variety of times depending on student interest.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions:
- Conduct engaging and informative Quick Books training sessions for individuals and small groups remotely.
- Deliver curriculum that covers the fundamentals of Quick Books, including setup, navigation, data entry, reporting, and more.
- Provide hands-on guidance and support to participants, answering questions and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of participants, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Stay current with updates and changes to Quick Books software to ensure training materials are up-to-date.
- Maintain class records in compliance with local and state procedures and requirements.
- Meet all deadlines internally and externally.
Other Important Functions:
- Proficiency in Quick Books with a solid understanding of its features and functionalities.
- Proven experience as a trainer or instructor, preferably in a Quick Books or accounting-related capacity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality instruction in a timely manner.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Quick Books Certification) are a plus but not required.
Knowledge of:
- Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:
- Standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- Operating assigned equipment
- Handling varied tasks simultaneously
- Bending, stooping, climbing, or lifting up to 50 pounds
- Maintain mental capacity, which allow the capability of:
- Making sound decisions
- Responding to questions
- Demonstrating intellectual capabilities
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Minimum Experience:
- Associates degree in business, accounting or bookkeeping or related field
- Teaching experience
- Windows and Microsoft Office experience
- Google Suite experience
Preferred Education/Training, Experience,
Skills:
- Quick Books certification
- Experience using online learning platforms like Canvas
