Job Description Summary
- This part-time position reports to the Director of Workforce Initiatives. Required work hours during the contract period will be Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the possibility of some weekday afternoons.

Minimum Qualifications
- Active Class ACDL along with valid DOT health card.

Additional Requirements:

1) Instructors will be required to maintain a positive student-learning experience, while students are receiving their hands-on driving experience.
2) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
3) Instructor will be required to follow all federal and state laws while supervising the student driver.

Preferred Qualifications
- 1) At least one year or more in actual over-the-road driving experience.
2) Previous teaching experience or training experience.
3) Working knowledge of log books.
4) Working knowledge of pre-trip inspections.
5) Working knowledge of required DMV 'shifting' patterns.

Essential Duties
- The Road Instructor is responsible for taking the students out driving each weekend on the various routes. The Road Instructor is responsible for re-enforcing the classroom materials, through hands-on driving experience.

Range - $17.65 - $21.47 Based on the College's salary plan. (This range covers those with educational level below an Associate's Degree. The high end of the range may increase with a higher relevant educational level.)
