We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide classroom instruction and support for a 4th grade classroom during the classroom teacher's maternity leave.

• Provide daily instruction for a 4th grade classroom.
• Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by the classroom teacher and school.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment.
• Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines and expectations.
• Assess student learning and provide appropriate feedback.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff as appropriate.
• Collaborate with grade-level teachers, specialists, and school administration.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required classroom records.
• Support students with differing academic and learning needs.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other duties as assigned.

Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Superintendent or his or her designee may assign.

• Valid Indiana teaching license required.
• Elementary/4th grade licensure or experience preferred.
• Previous classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
• Successful completion of all required school employment and background-screening requirements.
