Overview
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a LVA Lead Electrical Engineer. This position is ON SITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Eaton Asheville (Arden) NC facility.
The Low Voltage Assembly Lead Electrical Engineer (LVA EE) performs a wide variety of electrical engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to new product development, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique product applications.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 per year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You’ll Do- Develop digital, analog, and power electronic circuit board designs, analysis, and simulations utilizing tools such as PSPICE, MathCAD, and Altium PCB Designer.
- Participate as a team member and lead cross-functional project design teams. Direct preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
- Ensure successful completion of assigned projects within budgeted time and cost constraints. Participate in defining engineering approaches including the planning and scheduling of work.
- Execute all design, development, and related technical tasks required to maintain the product line.
- Develop product designs that may require the implementation of unique innovative solutions.
- Perform and participate in design verification/validation testing on test and product platforms.
- Coordinate all third-party design and certification testing to meet applicable industry standards.
- Contribute to organizational technical and business strategy.
- Must be capable of writing articles for trade and technical publications, presenting papers and preparing patent disclosures.
- Support plant initiatives and cost improvement objectives.
Basic REQUIRED Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of firmware and hardware design experience.
- Must be able to travel 20%, domestically.
- No relocation is being offered for this role. Only candidates currently residing within a 50-mile radius of Eaton's Asheville (Arden) NC facility will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE).
- Demonstrated experience in product development including architecture definition, detailed software design, simulation, physical design, verification, and design for manufacturability.
- Demonstrated experience in writing programs in the C, C++ language for embedded processors.
- Demonstrated experience with industrial communication protocols including Modbus.
- Ability to read schematics and interpret the behavior of electronic systems.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot analog and digital control circuitry.
- Ability to analyze and control system algorithms.
- Demonstrate sound problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess the ability to analyze product failure issues to drive root cause.
- Requires self-motivation, self-management, proactivity, attention to detail, task orientation, and the ability to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirements.
