Position: Sr Mechanical Eng 3 with Security Clearance

Responsibilities:
* Perform structural, dynamic, and shock analysis of undersea hardware
* Utilize ANSYS and MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and validation
* Conduct Shock Grade B analysis in accordance with DoD requirements
* Develop and maintain mechanical models and engineering drawings using CAD tools
* Apply expertise in materials, metallurgy, and material specifications to ensure design compliance
* Support prototype development, fabrication, and test activities
* Ensure designs meet technical, government, and industry standards
* Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers on analysis tools and methodologies

Qualifications:

* U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
* Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (active clearance preferred)
* 2+ years of job-related experience, OR Master's degree with 6+ months of related experience
* ANSYS and MATLAB for engineering analysis
* Shock analysis (Grade B preferred)
* Knowledge of materials and metallurgy
* CAD modeling and mechanical drawing development
* Understanding of manufacturing, fabrication methods, and applicable government/industry standards
