Duotech Services is seeking a hands‑on Automated Test Equipment Engineer to develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and sustain test systems for radar, RF, avionics, and defense electronic assemblies. This role supports new ATE development, depot repair capability, production test, engineering verification, and legacy system sustenance. The ideal candidate can work across hardware, software, instrumentation, interfaces, and documentation. This is not a paper‑only engineering role.
The work includes test station architecture, COTS instrument integration, interface adapter definition, automated test software support, system bring‑up, fault isolation, obsolescence mitigation, and technical coordination across multiple active programs.
- Develop ATE system architectures for RF, radar, avionics, and electronic assemblies.
- Select and integrate COTS instrumentation, interface adapters, switching, loads, supplies, fixtures, and custom electronics.
- Support test station bring‑up, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Develop or support automated test software using C#, Python, LabVIEW, Test Stand, or similar tools.
- Translate manual test procedures and engineering requirements into repeatable automated test sequences.
- Capture test data, failure modes, and configuration information for engineering and repair use.
- Diagnose issues in deployed or legacy ATE systems.
- Lead obsolescence mitigation, test procedure updates, configuration control, and product improvement efforts.
- Support depot repair, production test, engineering verification, and customer demonstrations.
- Track risks, dependencies, technical blockers, and task‑level progress across multiple ATE efforts.
- Support bid and proposal activity with technical concepts, estimates, assumptions, and risk identification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in radar systems, RF electronics, or test systems engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with ATE development, hardware‑in‑the‑loop systems, RF test instruments, or automated test solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and system interfaces.
- Familiarity with radar signal processing concepts and system verification.
- Experience with LabVIEW, Test Stand, Python, or similar automation tools is highly desired.
- Ability to manage multiple technical work streams with minimal supervision.
- U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- On‑site electronics manufacturing and depot repair facility supporting classified and export‑controlled programs. Strict adherence to ESD, safety, and security protocols is required.
