Responsibilities

• Coordinate capability studies on new and current processes and equipment, FMEA studies and identification of Critical Characteristics.
• Responsible for generating CNC tool path programs, and station layouts. Take an active role in optimizing programs (speeds, feeds, and chip control).
• Responsible for filing, cataloging, and transferring CNC programs.
• Initiate Engineering Change Request as required.
• Estimate the cost to manufacture new and proposed products
• Responsible for the placement/installation of new equipment and processes
• Evaluate required tooling and recommend design, type, or quantity changes as necessary.
• Evaluate existing equipment, machinery, and material handling systems; recommend alterations or alternatives as required.
• Participate in analyzing, setting, and revision of machine center, work center, and/or equipment work standards.
• Assist with coaching responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.
  
  A.) from four-year college or university preferred
• 3-5 years of experience within a machining plant or department
• Previous CNC Programming experience
