Eaton’s IS AER FED Aerospace division is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $110,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Relocation assistance is available for a qualified candidate. This role requires working on‑site M-F at our Middlesex, NC facility.

What You’ll Do

Eaton’s Aerospace division is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer at the Middlesex, North Carolina location.

Position Overview

The Sr. Quality Engineer manages quality assurance resources to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. Assists the Quality Manager to provide total quality leadership to customers, suppliers, and all internal stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Complete Quality Engineering assignments such as contract review, manufacturing support, PPAP, auditing and corrective action investigations with minimal supervision
  • Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes
  • Lead improvement teams in the development and evaluation of process capability, process control plans, analysis of out‑of‑control conditions and process audits
  • Ensure development, implementation and audit of complex inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria and procedures/work instructions
  • Participate in and/or may lead the auditing of internal Quality Systems and complete part approval documentation to assure that customers’ requirements are met in new or modified products and processes
  • Lead or provide technical advice and counsel to cross‑functional teams assigned to process improvement projects / problem solving teams
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers as needed
  • Assure that product shipped meets internal and external customer requirements
  • Assist in designing and implementing Quality Assurance training programs and conduct training in quality related topics relative to the work
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization, and the organizational freedom to resolve matters pertaining to quality
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Engineering degree from accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of quality mfg. engineering experience.
  • Relocation benefit is being offered for this position for candidates who live further than 50 miles of the Middlesex, NC facility.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • 2 years of hose manufacturing experience.
  • 5 years of quality mfg. engineering experience.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black/Green Belt certification.
  • Quality audit experience preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge Lean & Six Sigma tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical data sheets, and schematics.
  • Quality and Metrology knowledge.
