Advanced Mechanical Engineer (US Citizenship REQUIRED)
Rate$45 - $55/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO while on contract, an hour worked is an hour paid)
Duration12+ month contract, conversion to perm normally happens after 6 months
LocationMcLeansville NC 27301 – This position is fully on-site, or Hybrid/Flex as permitted.
ClearanceAble to obtain a secret security clearance from the Department of Defense. U.S. citizenship is required.
No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099. US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED
ResponsibilitiesAs a mechanical engineer, you'll be a member of and may lead a cross functional team responsible for the development of electronic and mechanical packaging design, and validation, including: structural and thermal analysis, shock and vibration, and design for manufacturability.
Required Skills- Proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
- Creative thinker capable of leading a team in the preparation of project design, testing, and prototype fabrication
- Attention to detail and ability to document technical information to be consumed by technical and non-technical individuals.
- Working knowledge of computer aided analysis tools (thermal, CFD, structural), such as Ansys
- Working knowledge of computer aided design tools (3D, 2D, layout), such as Creo
- Experience with small form factor, high power electromechanical elements
- Self-starting, detail-focused, problem solver
- Experience with high-pressure applications, including sealing technologies
- Demonstrated documentation experience — procedures, specifications, design packages, and engineering reports
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
